초록
The power quality characteristics of five-axis machining centers used in aerospace component manufacturing were investigated based on measurements of the fundamental current. Power quality data were collected every five minutes for 24 hours using power quality measurement equipment on APEC SK2540 and SK2580 machines. The results of a regression analysis revealed a robust relation between the fundamental current and the power factor, with the power factor approaching unity with increasing current. A significant correlation was observed between the reciprocal of the fundamental current and the total harmonic distortion of the current, which indicated substantial harmonic distortion under low load. These findings demonstrate that nonlinear load behavior in machining centers can be effectively characterized using only inexpensive measurements of the fundamental current. Therefore, the results show that this approach could provide a practical foundation for cost effective power quality monitoring, predictive maintenance, and energy efficiency management in aerospace manufacturing environments.
