1인 가구 특성과 소비패턴에 관한 연구

초록

Recently, the type of household in Korea has been established as a single-person household. The reasons for the increase in single-person households are the reduction of family size due to nuclear familyization, the increase of elderly single-family households due to the avoidance of parental support in the aging trend and the difference in the average life span of men and women, the increase in the nonmarriage rate due to intensifying youth unemployment, the decrease in the marriage rate and the increase in the divorce rate, among the youth. There are various factors in structural and psychological aspects such as individualization and increased convenience of living alone. Single-person households are now an irreversible trend. Now the economy is rapidly reshaping into a single-conomy market. We must break away from the typical consumption paradigm of the past and take a fresh look at the market. However, the future of single-person households is not only rosy. The name of a gorgeous single is suitable only for young singles. The economic outlook for single-person elderly households, especially for elderly households with baby boomers, is not bright enough that the word “old bankruptcy” has emerged. Therefore, the government should prepare institutional and policy measures so that people can design old age with confidence in preparation for the future.
