복합형 담화표지 ‘아니 X’ 형의 발화 전략 고찰

This study aims to analyze the speech strategies of the complex discourse marker form “ani X,” which is frequently used in spoken discourse, and to examine its strategic characteristics. Unlike previous studies that have mainly focused on simple discourse markers, this research regards complex discourse markers as independent strategic units, with particular attention given to the frequently used form “ani X.” Through the analysis of various authentic conversational examples, it is revealed that “ani X” is actively utilized in both the construction of utterance meaning and the management of discourse flow. Specifically, it functions strategically to highlight or emphasize certain topics, adjust turn-taking, and shift topics, thereby drawing the listener’s attention. The word “ani,” which conventionally conveys meanings such as negation, surprise, and exclamation, extends its lexical meaning into a strategic discourse function when used in combination, serving as a strong indicator of the speaker’s intent and stance. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the strategic aspects of spoken discourse by providing a systematic analysis of complex discourse markers.
