『대도(大道)』(1908.12.~1912.7.)의 발간 현황 및 체재 변화와 ‘사설(부)’ 분석

초록

Korean Evangel(大道, Daedo) was a monthly journal published by the Korean Mission Methodist Episcopal Church of South San Francisco, California, United States, from December 1908 to July 1912. This study aimed primarily to examine the publication status and diachronic format changes of Korean Evangel(大道, Daedo) using a bibliographic approach. We perused basic bibliographic information about Korean Evangel(大道, Daedo) and examined the distinctive features of its volume and issue notations. Furthermore, we analyzed the editorials written by the editor in chief to identify their perception of the publication and to elucidate the characteristics of the journal. A review of diachronic changes in the system revealed a notable attempt to group Korean Evangel(大道, Daedo) articles into subsections, with further subheadings presented under the parent “Subsection” heading. The perspective of the editor in chief was characterized based on the “Editorial Section” and the discussion categories covered in the editorials.
