초록
Climate change increases the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, posing structural threats to the stability and sustainability of residential environments. Consequently, housing has emerged as a critical space for climate change response and a key policy domain linked to social equity. This study collected academic papers on ‘climate change and residential environments’ published in South Korea from 2008 to 2025, and identified major research topics and temporal trends through LDA topic modeling and text network analysis. The analysis yielded six topics: ‘Climate disaster damage and spatial response strategies’, ‘Urban climate environment change and planning response strategies’, ‘Disaster response and carbon reduction design strategies for apartment housing’, ‘Protection and guarantee structures for realizing climate environmental rights’, ‘Energy performance improvement and climate-adaptive architectural design systems’, and ‘Smart-based response strategies and implementation structures’. Hot-Cold topic analysis and temporal analysis by policy period reveal that climate change has continuously expanded the themes and perspectives of residential environment research, evolving in multiple layers from technical responses to urban planning approaches, rights-based approaches, and smart technology applications. This study provides empirical evidence for establishing climate adaptation policies and research strategies through an in-depth analysis of climate change-residential environment research trends over 17 years.
