| dc.description.abstract | This study examined the factors that affect family planning intent of high school students in China and South Korea. In this study, we utilized a self-reported questionnaire form from high school students in South Korea (n=169) and China (n=99) each. The data were collected for five months from May to September 2014. There were significant differences in aging, sibling numbers, the number of intention childbirth possibility and family planning intent. There was no significant difference in family planning knowledge and attitudes, while family planning intent in Korea (20.05 ± 6.69) was lower than that in China (24.02 ± 10.33). It showed that Korean students’ family planning intent was correlated to family planning attitude, whereas the factors of family planning intent in Chinese students depended on two things: family planning attitude and family planning education experience. Chinese and Korean high school students showed a significant difference in family planning intent rather than family planning knowledge and attitudes. Therefore, in order to enhance practical family planning intent of future high school students, it is necessary to make a program that can change attitudes positively toward family. | - |
