토지피복도 조사를 통한 신도시 공간 분포 분석 - 1, 2기 및 3기 신도시를 중심으로

Abstract

South Korea has developed large-scale new cities several times as a key policy tool to address the severe housing demand resulting from the influx of population into Seoul and the surrounding metropolitan area, and the resulting housing shortage. However, the housing shortage and housing imbalance in the metropolitan area remain unresolved and are worsening. Given the constraints of limited land, sustainable and spatially balanced urban development strategies are crucial. This study aims to examine the current status of parks and green spaces, which account for a significant portion of new cities, and to explore ways to utilize these spaces more strategically. Using land cover maps, we analyze the current status of parks and green spaces in new cities to assess their adequacy and propose policies to secure useful land and ensure efficient land use.
