| dc.description.abstract | With the rapid growth of the K-content industry, securing intellectual property rights has become essential for small and medium-sized character content companies aiming to enter the global market. This study proposes a trademark big data–based strategy to help these companies establish efficient application plans within limited budgets. Analyzing 23,638 trademark cases filed and registered with the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) over the past decade - focused on toys (Class 28), stationery (Class 16), and clothing (Class 25) - the study identifies average registration timelines, correlations between designated goods, filing strategies of frequent applicants, and commercialization timing. Using association rule mining and qualitative case studies, it also evaluates the cost-effectiveness of the Madrid System and expedited examination, presenting an optimized filing strategy. The findings underscore the importance of proactive rights acquisition and offer foundational insights for intellectual property policy-making. | - |
