- Abstract
- In this paper, the proposed wideband compact planar antenna is realized by incorporating multiple curved transmission lines along with the interdigital capacitor (IDC) and the electric inductor-capacitor (ELC) resonator. Furthermore, this antenna implements an asymmetric coplanar waveguide (ACPW) via-less structure. A prototype of the proposed antenna has been fabricated with a compact size of 0.33 lambda 0 x 0.26 lambda 0 at the lower operating frequency of 2.3 GHz. The obtained measured results indicate a wide bandwidth that can cover the frequency band from 2.3 GHz to 4.11 GHz, corresponding to a -10 dB fractional bandwidth of 56.47%.
