dc.description.abstractTo improve current operating conditions in manufacturing processes, One-Factor-At-a-Time(OFAT) experimental method has been used conventionally. Instead of the OFAT experiments, factorial designs can be employed with the current condition at the center point. In this paper, two-level factorial experiments with center point method are proposed to improve current process conditions, and are compared with the OFAT experiments. The proposed method is shown to perform much better than the OFAT method in terms of the number of experiments, experimental region coverage, estimable effects, and design optimization criteria. The performances are illustrated with a case study example.-
