| dc.description.abstract | In the previous study we have developed chitosan-based biopolymer coating material for environmental-friendly improvement of fish MP (moist pellet; mainly raw fish) feeds in aquacultural farms. In this study, in order to enhance a functionality of coating material, we added pyroligneous liquor to the chitosan coating solution to prepare a functional coating agent with antibacterial activity. Chitosanpyrolgneous liquor complex coating agents was applied to fish growth experiment with EP (extruded pellet) fish feeds. Flounder fish was grown by feeding EP with or without the coating material and blood parameters were examined. In the growth experiment of flounder fish, no significant difference was observed among the groups in final body weight. However, there was a clear trend that in the blood of flounder fish groups fed with the coated feeds the immunological parameters including MPO and NBT as well as lysozyme activity and neutrophils activity were improved(p < 0.05), especially in the groups of chitosan and chitosan-pyrolgneous (9 : 1) complex coating agents. | - |
