- Abstract
- Purpose - This paper empirically investigates the capabilities on global supply chain agility (SCA) in global IT manufacturing supply chain. Although Korean firms have certain competitive strengths in IT manufacturing, they must devise new competitive advantages to mitigate the current uncertainties. Using integrated AHP and IPA analysis, this study seeks to identify the indicators of enhanced global IT manufacturing SCA for Korean IT manufacturers. Design/Methodology - This paper employs the combined theoretical framework on RBV and DCT to examine SCA in global IT manufacturing supply chains. It suggests to investigate SCA capabilities with integrated AHP and IPA approach. In detail, 5 items and 15 factors were selected. 5 items consist of quickness, flexibility, customer responsiveness, visibility, governance. To achieve the purpose of this study, AHP is conducted on Academic group and Business group to determine the priorities of SCA. This paper compares the differing priorities of the two groups. In addition, it conducts IPA for global IT manufacturing supply chain members. Findings - Our main findings can be summarized as follows: According to the AHP analysis, AG prioritized customer responsiveness, flexibility, and speed, while BG prioritized governance, visibility, and customer responsiveness. The results of the IPA analysis were similar to BG's priorities. Originality/Value - This study is noteworthy for distinguishing the attributes of agility and deriving indicators that reflect its dimensions. Prior studies have focused on SCA for specific target groups. In contrast, this study prioritizes SCA for a multi-dimensional population that is capable of evaluating SCA.
