- Abstract
- A power management system (PMS) for hybrid energy storages using a fuel cell and battery is proposed for the propulsion of an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) drone. The concept and structure of the proposed PMS are first presented. The power electronic converters for the proposed PMS and their control methods for efficiently using the fuel cell and battery storages for the eVTOL drone are discussed. The experimental and simulation results for the converters and PMS are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed PMS. © 2024 IEEE.
