With respect to bisegmentectomy (s4 and s5), performing accurate anatomical hepatic resection seems to be rare, and more importantly, it seems necessary to pay more attention to ensuring a sufficient resection margin for the tumor and selecting the liver resection range that minimizes venous congestion or an ischemic injury after surgery. Recently, laparoscopic bisegmentectomy (s4 and s5) has been performed frequently due to the development of techniques and instruments for laparoscopic liver resection. This chapter describes laparoscopic liver resection. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2023.-
