- Abstract
- This study investigates the toughening effect of the novel in-situ polytriazole toughening agent (PTS),synthesized via azide–alkyne click reaction during epoxy curing reaction. Three different types of epoxyresins, DGEBA, TGAP and DGEBF, and 4,40-DDS were modified with PTS and their fracture toughness andtensile properties were evaluated. When the epoxy resin has an excellent miscibility with the solid SPB,one monomer of PTS, the toughening effect was the best, improving the fracture toughness of the epoxyresin by 67% only with 5phr PTS without any decrease in the tensile properties of the resulting epoxyresin.
