dc.description.abstractThis research focused on the design and fabrication of a hydraulic auxiliary braking system for commercialvehicles. The hydraulic auxiliary braking system includes a hydraulic circuit within the housing, which allowsfluid to move through components such as a rotating pump, rotor, stator, and gears. Among thesecomponents, the gears and housing must possess sufficient strength to safely enclose the internal hydrauliccircuit and ensure durability. Within the limited space of the housing, it is crucial to design for safetymargins and deformation while achieving the necessary braking torque. The housing of the hydraulic auxiliarybraking system was modeled to fit the vehicle space and hydraulic circuit, and finite element analysis wasconducted for strength analysis. Following the stress distribution verification using finite element analysis,modifications for strength reinforcement were made. Subsequently, the design model improvements wereanalyzed and validated by comparing them with the results of the finite element method.-
