Acute low-tone hearing loss (ALHL) is a case of sensorineural hearing loss limited to low frequencies with ear fullness and tinnitus. It was first announced in Japan in 1981. Until now, it has not received much attention due to its relatively low incidence and high recovery rate. However, due to problems such as high recurrence rate and transition to Meniere's disease during long-term follow-up, the importance of early treatment for the disease has recently increased. Most clinical studies use oral steroid or intratympanic steroid injections and diuretics as the main treatments, but there is no established treatment yet. In this study, we reviewed characteristics of ALHL, its relationship with Meniere’s disease. And also compared the protocols and newly introduced treatments with results of previous studies.-
