진주시 역 통근 일자리의 특성

Abstract

이 연구는 경상남도 진주시와 주변 7개 시군을 지역노동시장 경계로 설정하여 역 통근과 해당 일자리의 양적, 질적 특성을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한 것이다. 분석에 사용된 기초 자료는 지역별고용조사 마이크로데이타이다. 진주시는 해당 지역노동시장의 중심도시로 식별되었고, 시계열적으로 이곳에서의 역 통근량은 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 역 통근 일자리의 특성은 산업별로는 제조업의 역 통근량이 가장 많지만, 행정과 교육서비스업 등도 높은 비중을 차지했다. 직업별로는 제조업과 관련된 직업들과 함께 관리직, 전문직, 사무직 등이, 종사상의 지위에서는 상용직이 역 통근의 대다수를 차지했다. 그리고 임금과 학력 수준이 높을수록 역 통근자 비율이 높아지는 추세가 함께 확인된다.

This study analyzes the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of reverse commuting in the case of Jinju city and its vicinities. The basic data used in the analysis are microdata of Regional Employment Survey. Jinju city has been identified as the central city of the local labor market, and the amount of reverse commuting continues to increase over time. And the job characteristics of reverse commuting in this area are as follows. First, manufacturing jobs have the largest amount of reverse commuting by industry, but administrative and educational services also accounted for a high proportion. Second, by occupation, professionals, technicians, administrators & managers, along with jobs related to manufacturing, accounted for the majority and about 80% of reverse commuters from Jinju city are wages and salary workers. Third, it is also identified that more workers with higher wages and higher educational backgrounds commute to the surrounding areas.
