This is a narrative study about a father"s tattoos that swapped home happiness. The participants are three children"s mothers, fathers and grandparents who support of a new life. The data were collected from October 2018 to September 2019 and is written in a story-type text about family history and family. The analysis of the data is in the form of a three-dimensional narratives proposed by Clandinin (2013), which was based on context, timeliness, and interaction. Participant’s experiences were analyzed through the following four procedures, “living,” “telling,” “retelling, and “reliving”. The purpose of this study is to understand what it means for young people in their 20s to live in a family and fail to adapt to the changes in their lives that occurred after marriage. This study is written in three of four procedures about various phenomena of life. Firstly, the storytelling part explains the environment of childhood acquired from parents, the difficult life that began with marriage. Secondly, the living story part is about a father’s upcoming tattoos and the mother’s tears and the emptiness and longing for their husbands. Third, the living story part is about a mother’s strength against the absence a child"s father, a father who became a pillar for a divorced daughter, and a son"s father and grandfather. This study is about family happiness through narratives, and the idea that young children first find emotional stability through parents" lives and learn from them. Second, marriage is not a choice for one"s own happiness, but belief and doing what each have to do. Third, parents" behavior should give happiness to all family members. Fourth, it takes support from the home and the community to restore the lost happiness of the home. Fifth, supplementation of support systems and systems for the role of grandparents in single-parent families and the upbringing of grandchildren is necessary. Sixth, for happy families, realizing the importance of each role’s behavior is important for improving their quality of life. It is meaningful that this study explored the meaning of a family"s new life in depth through narratives of the role played by mothers, fathers and grandparents. This study, together with an in-depth study of what family well-being means, will provide a theoretical understanding, and through this, will be able to present a direction for social welfare practice.-
