- Abstract
- High-precision driving system design technology is an important factor limiting the development of theprecision manufacturing industry. In recent years, high-precision machine tool driving system optimization hasbecome a widespread research field. Automatic shelf manufacturers have relied on the import ofcross-drilling/milling units, a key component of machine tools, but now demand localization and performanceimprovements to increase cost competitiveness. The cross-drilling/milling unit is a tool-stand unit mounted onan automatic shelf, a type of machine tool, and performs the key function of rotating the tool for processingmaterials. In this study, the design of teeth microgeometry of the rotating gear of a cross-drilling/milling unitwas investigated. After optimization, a prototype was produced, and improved part parameters, such as profile,lead, runout, and pitch errors, were confirmed through various tests.
