지역공동체를 위한 사회와 학교의 역할 탐구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 공존 가능한 지역공동체를 위한 지역사회와 학교의역할에 대한 탐구다. 한국의 교육개혁에서, 기존의 학교 중심 교육개혁을넘어 학교와 지역사회의 협력을 통해 변화되어야 한다는 의견이 대두되고있다. 본고에서는 변화하는 사회에 맞춰, 지역사회와 학교 교육이 어떻게공존 가능한 지역공동체를 만들어야 하는 지에 집중하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 지역공동체와 학교에 대하여 알아보고, 그 안의 문제를 파악했다. 특히 공존 가능한 지역공동체를 위한 교육의 필요, 학교와 지역사회가 직면한문제를 알아보고, 이어서 공존 가능한 지역공동체를 위한 역할을 고찰했다. 지역사회의 역할과 학교의 역할을 먼저 알아보고, 효과와 한계에 대하여 고찰하였다. 본문에서는 구체적으로 학교와 지역사회의 공존 현황 및대책, 이를 위한 행정적 지원과 학교와 지역사회의 협력 활성화에 대하여논하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 학교와 지역사회가 서로 긴밀하고 상호협조적인 관계를 이루어 공존 가능한 지역공동체를 만든다면, 이는 확장되어 공교육의 내실화, 지역사회의 발전, 수도권 집중과 비수도권의 소외현상을 막는 데 일조할 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the role of community and school for coexisting communities. In Korea's education reform, there is a growing consensus that education reform should go beyond the existing school-centered reform and be transformed through cooperation between schools and communities. This article focuses on how community and school education should coexist to create a community that is compatible with the changing society. To do so, we first examined the community and school and identified the problems within them, especially the educational needs for coexisting communities, the problems faced by schools and communities, and the roles of coexisting communities. The role of the community and the role of the school were first examined, and the effectiveness and limitations were discussed. Specifically, we discussed the current status and measures of school-community coexistence, administrative support for this, and the promotion of school-community cooperation. If schools and communities can establish a close and cooperative relationship with each other through this process and create a coexistent community, it will be able to expand and contribute to the internalization of public education, the development of local communities, and the prevention of the concentration of metropolitan areas and the marginalization of non-metropolitan areas.
