Abstract
Small bowel lymphoma is a rare gastrointestinal neoplastic disease, and is included in non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The most common pathologic type is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, followed by follicular lymphoma, Burkitt’s lymphoma, and mantle cell lymphoma. Cases of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma and immunoproliferative small intestinal disease are also possible. The most common site is ileum, especially the terminal ileum. Approximately half of the cases involve single lesions in the small intestine, the other half cases are multiple lesions in small and large intestines. The differential diagnosis includes primary small bowel carcinoma, metastasis, small bowel leiomyoma/gastrointestinal stromal tumor, and inflammatory bowel disease. Treatment and prognosis are similar to other gastrointestinal lymphomas. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2022.
