dc.description.abstractThis study aims to investigate the relationship among family-supportive HRM policy, family-supportive organizational culture, and transformational leadership. Further, we explore the mediating role of work-family balance among the relationship. We emphasize the importance and the necessity of the family-supportive HRM policy and organizational culture in modern society, based on the institutional theory and the signaling theory. We also suggest that work-family balance positively influenced by the family-supportive HRM policy and organizational culture could be a useful resource to facilitate the transformational leadership behavior of leaders from the perspective of the conservation of resource theory. The results of the empirical analyses indicated that both family-supportive HRM policy and family-supportive organizational culture were positively related to work-family balance, respectively. Also, work-family balance was positively related to transformational leadership. Bootstrapping tests showed the significant indirect effects of the work-family balance between the two facets of family-supportive context and transformational leadership, separately. The research findings shed light on informative theoretical and practical implications for the fields of work-family balance and leadership behavior.-
