| dc.description.abstract | Machine tools widely used in industrial fields have been developed over a long period. However, the demand for precision, stability, durability, and noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) performance has become increasingly stringent. A widely used turning-processing unit is an electrical unit that connects a machine tool to a tool. The principle of power transmission in a turning-processing unit involves using bevel and spur gears. This gear system is engaged and rotates at high speeds to transmit power to operate the unit. However, when designing the macrogeometry of the gear, only a slight difference in the teeth generates noise or vibration, which deteriorates the PPTE and NVH performance. In this study, the amount of microgeometric teeth modification of the optimized gear was determined using three-dimensional simulations, and a prototype was manufactured to analyze the rigidity, noise, and precision. | - |
