dc.description.abstractUltrathin 2D CuInP2S6 ferroelectrics play an important role in the development of the bulk photovoltaic effect (BPVE), which might potentially be exploited for the production of third generation solar cells. Thus, it is imperative to model and simulate solar cells based on CuInP2S6 which can provide valuable insights into the underlying performance mechanism. In this study, the photovoltaic device designed using layered CuInP2S6 is studied through COMSOL Multiphysics. The results imply that the current contribution highlights the effective electrical and optical photogeneration characteristics of a CuInP2S6 solar cell. The COMSOL module constituted the 'Semiconductor Module,' and 'Wave Optics Module' to compute the electron and hole concentrations, and generation rate. © 2023 IEEE.-
