- Abstract
- This study designed teaching and learning methods for listening education by incorporating post-presentation question-and-answering and examining learners’ perspectives to explore the future direction of academic Korean listening classes. The results revealed that learners could comprehend listening materials better and found assistance in speaking through the post-presentation questioning process while also expressing increased interest in the classes. Unlike previous studies that focused solely on lecture listening or were conducted from speakers’ perspectives in presentation education, this research explores listening teaching and learning methods from the perspective of listeners, incorporating Korean listening education into presentation discourse. However, there were limitations, such as limited class time and a need to supplement listening comprehension skills. This study holds significance in searching for teaching and learning methods from the listeners’ perspective, applying the designed methods in real classes to examine learners’ perspectives, and exploring the educational implications.
