Ingushes are indigenous peoples of the North Caucas and they have their own ethnic identity and language, but were merged into the Russian Empire in 1770. In 1924, it was formed as a Ingushetia Autonomous Oblast’, but due to Soviet artificial boundaries, it merged with Chechnya in 1934 to become a Joint Autonomous Oblast’ and in 1936 a Joint Autonomous Republic, which was virtually absorbed into the Chechens. During the Soviet period of 1944-1957, they were forced to move to Central Asia for 13 years and artificially integrated with the Chechens and were in danger of losing his identity and language. In June 1992, he finally gained the status of an indigenous people who constituted the Republic of Ingushetia. Ingushetia has decided to define Ingush language as state language through the Constitution and the Law on State languages, and is promoting its preservation and development, but it is in a situation where it may lose its ethnicity and language due to the increasingly strengthening Russian assimilation policy. This situation is equivalent to almost all national republics in the Russian Federation, but the size of the territory and population shows that the risk is greater than any other republic.-
