dc.description.abstractThe port state control was introduced to secure safety of ships and manage ships efficiently. globally, inspectors carry out a strict inspection on a regular basis, and when inspection results fail to suit regulations, a detection code is given and very huge physical and temporal damages occur. especially, an emergency fire pump is the most important inspection equipment, which can deal with fire in a ship, and cases of detention code number-30 decision by port state control are frequent each year when normal operation is impossible. Therefore, this study was conducted to suggest operation regulations of emergency fire pump installed in a ship and analyze performance of multi-stage turbine pump DMT-50-5S. The study result showed that operation regulations were satisfied at a pressure of 0.42MPa to 0.78MPa, and the optimum pump efficiency was 43.47%.-
