| dc.description.abstract | In this letter, a cavity-backed annular slot antenna with a reconfigurable dual-linear polarization of ∓45° employing two PIN diodes for wireless internet of things (IoT) applications was proposed to address issues such as bulky size, circuit complexity, and structural stability. The front-to-back ratio and gain enhancements of the proposed antenna with an overall size of 0.44 λ0 × 0.44 λ0 × 0.17 λ0 at 2.545 GHz were designed and accomplished utilizing a cavity-backed reflector. The impedance bandwidth based on the 10 dB return loss and the peak gain of the proposed antenna are approximately 18.8% (2.26–2.73 GHz) and 7.42 dBi, respectively. © 2023 Wiley Periodicals LLC. | - |
