| dc.description.abstract | 목적: 이 연구는 일제강점기 씨름의 근대적 진화 배경을 파악하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 방법: 이 연구는 일제강점기 오락 정책과 씨름 관련 선행연구를 기반으로 새롭게 씨름의 근대적 진화를 파악할 수 있는 1차 사료의 보강을 통해 문헌 검토를 실시했다. 결과: 첫째, 일제강점기 씨름의 성행은 일본의 식민지 향토오락정책과 한국 농촌의 자발적인 신체문화의 장려 운동이 복합적으로 반응한 결과였다. 둘째, 일제강점기 씨름은 서구 근대스포츠문화와의 접촉 속에서 문화적 적응을 경험한 조선 사회 내부의 자발적인 의지로 근대적 문화로 조직화를 이룩할 수 있었다. 셋째, 씨름대회는 식민지 조선의 남성다운 힘과 용기를 표출할 수 있는 공간으로 기능하면서 식민지 조선의 독립을위한 하나의 원천이 되었다. 결론: 씨름은 일제강점기 근대화를 경험하며 전승을 위한 토대를 구축했다 | - |
