중ㆍ고령자의 경제활동참가율에 대한 연령-기간-코호트 효과 분석

| dc.description.abstract | 본 연구는 한국의 중․고령(55-74세) 노동시장에서 이들의 경제활동참가에 대한 연령-시기- 코호트 효과를 1981-2019년 기간동안에 대해 분석한다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 1950-1980년대 초반 여성 코호트의 경제활동참여성향은 1950년 이전 코호트에 비해높은 것으로 나타난다. 다만, 1970-1980년대 초반 코호트의 경제활동참여성향은 하향하고 있기 때문에 향후 중․고령 여성의 경제활동참가율의 증가 속도는 다소 축소될 것으로 전망된다. 둘째, 남성의 경제활동참여성향은 1920-1960년대 후반 코호트까지 매우 빠르게 증가했지만, 이후 코호트의 경제활동참여성향은 이전의 상승추세가 멈추거나 혹은 완만한 하락 추이가 나타난다. 따라서 남성 중․고령자의 경제활동참가율의 상승세는 향후 점차 하락할 것으로 전망된다. 셋째, 여성 중․고령자의 경우에는 소득부족과 같은 외적 요인에 의해 경제활동에 참가할 가능성이 있지만, 남성 중․고령자는 이와는 반대로 외적 요인에 의해 경제활동에 참가하지 않을 가능성이 있다. 따라서 향후에는 남성 중․고령자의 경제활동참가에 장애가 될 수 있는 제약들을 완화시키기 위한 정책적 노력이 필요하다. | - |
