- Abstract
- The bi-polarization of income and asset is now under way. It is worried that increasing bi-polarzation should harm the social cohesion and the growth potential of national economy. It is expected that the Non-profit-organizations can contribute to reverse these trends by means of its public and social character. In this process, the alternative finances such as 'socially responsible investment', 'community development financial institutions' and 'microfinance' could play an investment enhancing role in this process. The 'socially responsible investment' could exert an influence on the private firms to comprehend the corporate social responsibility at the national economy level. The 'community development financial institutions' could afford the financial and managerial support to the regional small firms NPO and social enterprises that provide the various social services. Finally, 'microfinance' could contribute to the development of healthy community through the providing of tailored and close cared service to lower income classes.
