Abstract

…The purpose of this paper is to examine the international transaction trends and some issues relating the electronic intangible goods, and propose its improvement plans.For these purposes, this paper is organised as follows. Chapter I introduces the necessities and purposes of this paper. Chapter II considers the laws and regulations related the electronic intangible goods, such as the Korea Foreign Trade Law, the On Line Digital Contents Industry Development Act, the Software Industry Promotion Act, the Culture Industry Promotion Act, and the Uniform Computer Information Transaction Act 1999 in U.S.A. Chapter III considers the concept and characters of the electronic intangible goods, and its current states of exports and imports. Chapter IV analyzes some issues relating the electronic intangible goods and suggests its improving plan. In conclusion, it is necessary that we should clarify the definition of the terms and classification criteria of the electronic intangible goods, and find a reasonable method for tariff imposition and a way to prevent the illegal transaction of the electronic intangible goods.
