- Abstract
- The second district unit plan for industrial development was introduced by National Land Planning & Use Law in 2003. However, it is mainly focused on providing infrastructure to the district. Furthermore, it doesn't reflected on the concept of sustainable development which considers to not only current generation but also next generation for the quality of life. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the planning standards of the second district unit plan for the industrial development from the point of sustainable development view. This study found out that the low density for environment friendly development was the most important planning standard in the field of land use planning. The width of local street for the site size between 90,000㎡ to 150,000㎡ was an important planning standard for infrastructure planning. The efficient use of natural resource was an influential planning standard to increase the quality of architect planning. The cooling system for factory facilities, the treatment system for reducing CO2, and reuse system of soil resource were influential planning standards to the field of environment planning for the sustainable industrial development in rural areas.
