Abstract
"The momentum and heat transport in microscale and rarefied gas flows is known to deviate from the classical laws of and Navier and Fourier. A more sophisticated model derived from the Boltzmann equation may be required to describe the gaseous and thermal transport in these flows. In this work, a computationally efficient framework based on phenomenological nonlinear coupled constitutive relations is presented. The force-driven Poiseuille and the Knudsen layer gas flows are investigated analytically in order to show the potential of the new framework.
