| dc.description.abstract | Many surgical procedures have been established to treat swallowing disorders with aspiration. These operations allow restoration of respiration and deglutition without aspiration. Many surgical procedures have been established to treat intractable aspiration. It is important to evaluate the state of the patient and swallowing disorder; surgical procedures can then be selected according to the pathophysiology. We describe a patient who underwent a glottic closure for intractable aspiration following a failure of tracheal end to end anastomosis. Glottic closure is relatively easy to perform and potentially reversible. It was the best choice of treatment for large defect of trachea with intractable aspiration. | - |
