Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the perceived impacts of Bangeo festivals and their effect on the resident's community attachment and festival attitudes. In order to complete this investigation we conducted theoretical research. As a result, we collected the perceived impacts' 13 effects on local festival attribution, 6 community attachment attribution and 4 attitudes towards local festival attribution. The data involved residents living in Mosulpo and Jeju Do, 248 in total. Also, analysis of SPSS and AMOS was used to test the model, and below are the following results. First, in the social and cultural sector, the positively perceived impacts brought about positive community attachments. However, the economic and environmental impacts failed to do so. Second, positively perceived impacts on the festival had an effect on the festival attitudes among residents. Last of all, higher perception of community attachment brought about more positive attitudes toward the festival. Through analyzing community attachment, the influence of resident's perception, and their attitudes toward local festival, this study provides meaningful ideas which may lead us to increase sustainable festivals.
