- Abstract
- This study aims to develop the Jinju Pogurak Dance education program through humanistic access. The basic paradigm of 2015 Amended Curriculum is linked to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and aimed at fostering talented people. With development of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, humanities is the general trend these days. It is certain that to need humanities to grow up creative and imaginative people so this study explore to study human nature through Pogurak Dance and develop a significant education program as a form of play which is a kind of prototype activity in society. Therefore, it compose 16 numbers of time of Pogurak Dance by 2 hours per number of time. Moreover, it implements the classes for middle or high school students through club activities or free semester system.
It suggests "Homo Ludens"(Huizinga) and "Play Spirit" (Nietzsche) as creative elements in humanistic approaches. Through this dance education program this study hopes students to develop their dreams and talents, form their desirable self-esteems, free from unconscious prejudices, love themselves, and bring forth to new world. In addition, this study wants to change gradually their individual as well as school, family, society life through the course of humanistic understanding the Pogurak Dance.
It strongly believes that humanistic understanding of the Pogurak Dance will become a model of instruction to experience self-reflection and enlightenment emotionally, physically, and cognitively, forming creative humanism.
