The purpose of this study is to investigate the perception of the medical staff about airborne infection risk in emergency district and items for further improvements. Personal interview is used to figure out the perceptions of the seven medical staff in various regin in South Korea. The results of the study are as follow. Firstly, the most dangerous places as part for airborne infection in emergency district are triage area and general treatment room. Secondly, the most risky activities are common breathing, intubation, suction. Finally, as for the further improvements, increased ventilation rate and proper isolation are suggested. However, the movable partition between beds in general district is not preferable for the limited patient monitoring for fall prevention and risk of increased contact infection.-
