| dc.description.abstract | Background/Objectives: Since the BIM services are not adequately valued, the BIM application has a low impact on the project. Appropriateassessment methods are required for the BIM services. Methods/Statistical analysis:To evaluate the BIM services, the type of BIM service and the most effective service was analyzed and survey on BIM Services was carried out on BIM experts. Also, case study was conducted on how BIM maturity and BIM application effectiveness were analyzed to derive the evaluation methods of the BIM services. Findings: As BIM became widely used and BIM application technologies were developed and introduced in construction projects. However, there is no clear definition of how beneficial the utilization of BIM is to the overall outcome of the construction project. To maximize the benefits of BIM adoption, the appropriate evaluation system for the BIM services is required. As a result of survey on BIM experts, the interference review between construction works using BIM is most frequently utilized and it is indicated that the quality and safety management using BIM techniques are “Minimum”or “Low”. And, this study suggested BIM service assessment method for performance measurement and the effectiveness through the fulfillment of the service.3 KPI for analysis of BIM service benefits, schedule performance, cost performance and work efficiency are suggested. Improvements/Applications: The results of the study enable systematic assessment of the BIM services. The evaluation method of the BIM Services proposed in this study can maximize the effectiveness of future BIM services. | - |
